I graduated from Auburn University in May 2024 with a degree in public relations. Currently, I work as a senior enterprise marketing specialist at ALSAC, the fundraising and awareness organization for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. I am passionate about all aspects of public relations and marketing.
My Experience
Senior Enterprise Marketing Specialist
As a senior enterprise marketing specialist at ALSAC, I have gained exposure to the organization's various marketing departments and a stronger understanding of how a large healthcare nonprofit functions. I am a contractor and my role ends at the end of December 2024.
Communications Intern
As a communications intern at the Alabama League of Municipalities in Montgomery, I strengthened my AP Style skills by writing press releases and media advisories. I also published my first two articles in the Alabama Municipal Journal.
Communications and Marketing Intern
My role as a communications and marketing intern at the Auburn University Office of Campus Safety and Security taught me how to communicate with a diverse audience of students, alumni and parents. This opportunity greatly benefitted me and helped me strengthen my PR skills before I graduation.
Corporate Communications Intern
During my time as a summer corporate communications intern at Monogram Foods, I had the opportunity to gain a better understanding of what a role in communications looks like on a daily basis. In this role, I had the opportunity to network with Memphis professionals while cultivating social media posts and various communications tools for the department.
Supplemental Instruction Leader
In the spring of my sophomore year, I was a supplemental instruction leader for a difficult freshman-level history course. In this role, I had the opportunity to help Auburn students struggling in the course work by creating study materials and facilitating tutoring sessions multiple times a week. This position helped improve my public speaking, leadership and organizational skills.
